Taking Gratitude to the Next Level


Take your gratitude practice to the next level by writing letters of gratitude to the people you love and appreciate. A study conducted at Kent State investigated the power of writing letters of gratitude and found that happiness increased, life satisfaction improved, and depressive symptoms decreased. In fact, the more letters people wrote, the more benefits they experienced. Take out a pen and paper, grab your favorite pen, and pour your heart out.

•    Describe why you’re grateful for this person, what they mean to you, what this person does for you, and how their actions have affected your life. Be as detailed as possible. Be sure to note what you’re doing in your life right now, and how their presence has helped you grow.
